To build on the foundation laid in the Newbie module by refining basic skills and introducing more structured play strategies.

Duration: 1.5-hour session

Content:

1: Advanced Serving and Returning

Spin Serves:

Introduction to different types of serves, such as top-spin and slice serves.

Target Practice:

Drills focused on placing serves in specific areas of the opponent’s court.

2: Volleys , Dinks And Drives

Volley Technique:

Teaching the basics of volleying, including proper footwork and paddle positioning.

Dinking Basics:

Introduction to the dink shot, its importance, and how to execute it effectively within the kitchen.

Volley & Dink Drills:

Partner drills focused on controlling volleys and dinks at the net.

Drives:

Hitting the ball with the right swing.

3.Simple Drills

Serving Practice:

Repetition drills to practice serves and improve consistency.

Return of Serve:

Techniques for returning the serve, focusing on positioning and footwork.

Ball Control Drills:

Simple drills to improve ball control and accuracy.

4.Understanding Ball sense plus hand and eye coordination

Ball Tossing and ball Catching:

Drill on how to catch the ball and toss the ball from the side of body timing and rhythm:

Coordination of placement , positioning and height of ball bounce

Ball bouncing using paddle

Bouncing the ball on the floor and in the air

5.Game Strategy

Positioning & Movement:

Understanding where to position yourself during various phases of play.

Shot Selection:

Learning when to play defensively and when to attack.

Doubles Strategy:

Introduction to basic doubles play strategy, focusing on communication and court coverage.

6: Rules in Detail

In-depth Rules Review:

Detailed explanation of the rules, including line calls, faults, and scoring nuances.

Mock Games:

Playing full games with emphasis on applying the correct rules.

7: Practice Matches

Guided Match Play:

Players engage in practice matches under the supervision of the coach, who provides real-time feedback.

Focus on Strategy Implementation:

Emphasizing the application of learned strategies in real game situations.

8: Match Play and Feedback

Tournament Style Play:

Organizing matches in a mini-tournament format to give players a taste of competitive play.

Post-Match Analysis:

Coaches provide feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
